Our Mission

An estimated 5,000 children ages 14 and under are hospitalized due to unintentional drowning-related incidents each year; 15 percent die in the hospital and as many as 20 percent suffer severe, permanent neurological disability.
National Safety Council

19% of drowning deaths involving children occur in public pools with certified lifeguards present.
Drowning Prevention Foundation

The majority of children who survive (92 percent) are discovered within two minutes following submersion, and most children who die (86 percent) are found after 10 minutes. Nearly all who require cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) die or are left with severe brain injury.

Zaven’s Wishes Exists to:
Help change these statistics by providing financial assistance, in the form of scholarships, for children to attend a certified swim instruction and life saving course.   Our efforts are initially going to be focused toward our children in the Kenner and Metairie, LA area.
We are offering the opportunities for families to not only help their child learn to swim, but also learn life saving skills for themselves and swimmers around them. In addition we are working with other local organizations to provide summer fun.
Summer time is a time of freedom where most children create their own fun. Let’s face it, our kids get into things. Our focus is to not only give these kids the opportunities to learn swimming and life saving techniques, but to also keep them active during their time off from school.  We will also teach the kids to love Jesus first, Others second, then Yourself (JOY).
Please help us grow this vision through your prayers and financial support.

May God Bless You.
